Junk Journal & Yap is Heading to Paper World Stationery Expo 2026
Big news for the Junk Journal & Yap community !!! We’re officially hosting a workshop at the first ever Paper World Stationery Expo in Anaheim, California!
On April 4, 2026, stationery lovers, planners, scrapbookers, and creative paper enthusiasts from across the country will gather at the Hilton Anaheim for a full day dedicated to creativity, small businesses, and the magic of paper. The event is expected to bring together 1,000+ attendees and over 50 curated stationery vendors, making it one of the most exciting stationery events of the year.
And Junk Journal & Yap will be part of it.
Our Workshop: Creative Junk Journaling
During the expo, we’ll be hosting a hands-on junk journaling workshop designed for both beginners and seasoned creatives.
In this session, participants will slow down, unplug from the digital world, and explore the layered storytelling style that junk journaling is known for. Through collage, ephemera, stickers, washi, and mixed materials, attendees will learn how to build a cohesive journal spread that reflects their own story and creativity.
The goal isn’t perfection, it’s creative freedom.
This workshop is all about rediscovering the joy of making something with your hands.
What Participants Will Experience
Each participant will receive a curated journaling kit filled with materials to help them create their spreads.
Workshop materials include:
• Journaling paper base or cardstock pages
• A curated ephemera and collage paper pack
• Decorative stickers and embellishments
• Washi tape samples
• Access to stamping tools during the session
• Glue, scissors, and pens to use during the workshop
• Prompt cards to spark creativity
Participants are also welcome to bring their own journal if they’d like to work directly inside it.
By the end of the session, everyone will walk away with 1–2 completed layered journal spreads and leftover materials to continue their creative practice at home.
