Workshop Policies

Workshop Ticket Policy effective March 2026

 

These policies apply to all Junk Journal & Yap workshops — local and international — booked directly through JunkJournalAndYap.com.

 

•      Workshop tickets must be purchased in advance through the official booking page.

•      Seating is limited. Your reservation is confirmed only once full payment is received.

•      Each ticket is valid for the specific event date, time, and location listed at time of purchase.

 

All workshop tickets are non-refundable. Due to limited seating, advance preparation of materials, and venue arrangements, refunds cannot be issued once a ticket is purchased.

 

If you are unexpectedly unable to attend due to illness or an emergency, we encourage you to transfer your ticket to another guest rather than losing your spot (see Ticket Transfers below).

 

For workshops held within the European Union: under EU consumer regulations, services related to leisure activities scheduled for a specific date are exempt from the standard withdrawal period.

 

•      If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to another person.

•      To arrange a transfer, please contact the organizer via the contact page at least 48 hours before the event so the attendee list can be updated.

•      Transferred tickets remain valid only for the original event date and cannot be exchanged for a different workshop.

 

•      If a workshop is cancelled by Junk Journal & Yap, all ticket holders will receive a full refund of the ticket price.

•      If a workshop is rescheduled, ticket holders may choose to attend the new date or request a refund.

•      If a workshop is materially changed — such as a significant venue or format change — ticket holders will be notified promptly and offered the option to attend or receive a refund.

Force Majeure

•      Junk Journal & Yap is not liable for cancellation or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, travel disruptions, government restrictions, venue issues, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, the workshop may be rescheduled or converted to a future credit at the organizer’s discretion.

 

•      Workshops begin at the scheduled time. Late arrivals may miss portions of instruction and materials.

•      Tickets are non-refundable in the case of late arrival or no-show.

 

•      Photos and short video recordings may be taken during workshops for documentation and promotional purposes.

•      By attending, participants acknowledge that images and footage may be used by Junk Journal & Yap on its website, social media channels, and in promotional materials. Images are not shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

•      If you prefer not to appear in photos or video, please inform the organizer at the start of the event. Every effort will be made to honour that request in any published materials.

Note: Participants based in the EU may have additional rights regarding the use of their image under GDPR. Please contact us if you have questions.

 

•      Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings during the event. Junk Journal & Yap and the hosting venue are not liable for lost or damaged items.

•      The organizer reserves the right to refuse or remove participation from anyone behaving in a disruptive or unsafe manner, without refund.

•      Participation in workshops is voluntary and at the participant's own risk. Workshops may involve craft tools, adhesives, and other materials. Please take care when handling all supplies.

 

Workshop materials, prompts, and instructional content are the intellectual property of Junk Journal & Yap.

 

•      Personal, non-commercial sharing of your own finished work is warmly encouraged — please tag us!

•      Reproduction or commercial use of workshop materials or instructional content without prior written permission is not permitted.
